This year we will be introducing some great new course options during the Wildcat weekend, with the option of doing the original Wildcat Epic: two days of 50 miles each. Or on the Sunday(August 11th) take on the only 100 miler in NY, the Wildcat 100 ( recently recognized by NUE series as a 2013 Candidate race, see below). Also available will be the Wildcat 50 and Wildcat 25 on the Saturday (August 11th).
The WC 100 will be both days of Wildcat riding merged into a one day Epic Challenge where you can expect private sweet single track, only available for organized events, double track on the Apple farms and unique access to the the Gunk's Ridge on historic carriage roads with spectacular views of the ridge and the valley below. The Wildcat offers the opportunity to race through the most beautiful spots that upstate New York has to offer, including William's lake, the Larsen loop, Minnewaska State Park Preserve and Mohonk Preserve, home to the Shawangunk Mountains
Each day competitors will be treated to a remarkable racecourse, fully stocked aid stations, catered meals, and great hospitality. Wildcat Epic is fun for the whole family, so bring your loved ones and make a weekend of it.

The date will be the 1-3 June ’12 to coincide with National trails day.
The Location:
The waterfront park in Poughkeepsie, NY is the location for the Expo.
Our Partners
Adventure Junction, a new adventure booking service starting in the Hudson Valley will partner with Dutchess Tourism to present the expo.
Metro North Train service will partner with a special offer of train fare and expo tickets. And the will make allowance for special service to allow bicycles on the train.
The City of Poughkeepsie and the Children’s Museum will provide the venue on the banks of the Hudson River.

5 k run/walk on the Walkway loop trail
Hosted mid morning, to make it convenient for visitors coming up from the city for the day. Included is a short fun run for all ages.
Kayak race5 mile and 10 mile options.
The Hudson River is an ideal body of water for a great kayak /canoe race and the expo will be on the banks for the river, allowing for great spectator potential.
Urban Assault MTB race
A short adventure packed urban style mountain bike event.
The event will be set up to start and finish at the main event site. With spectator friendly obstacles and a max of 2miles of race course.
The event can have a qualifying round with Time Trial , and a semi final and final race for maximum crown enjoyment.
Sport climbing / Bouldering competition
Held on in the center of the event site with a natural amphitheater shaped lawn, that will make for a maximum crown enjoyment. The competition will be open to all levels of climber at different times throughout the weekend. With the Saturday afternoon and evening reserved for the finals.
